Monsanto Hall - Washington University

This renovation of nearly the entire floor of the Monsanto Hall Building was to aid in the scientific efforts of the Hengen Lab in the Department of Biology. Research includes the “homeostatic self organization of neural networks that support sensation, perception , and cognition, and how appropriate information transmission in these systems is established during development and disrupted in disease.”

Facilities include flexible wet lab research areas, behavioral rooms, animal holding room, maker space, student spaces, computational areas, and a break room.
