Singamaneni Lab - Washington University

FSA created a new laboratory for plasmonic nanostructure research. This facility was designed to take advantage of the square footage available to maximize working bench space while providing four high efficiency fume hoods, a microscope room and a procedure room. The nanostructures developed in this lab are to be used for biological sensors and nanomedicine applications. Taking advantage of the northern facing windows the lighting is constant and more easily allows the space to be adequately lit while reducing artificial lighting loads. Adaptable laboratory casework was utilized for future flexibility as the research evolves lowering future renovation costs as methods and equipment changes.
